Kururlucifer name change to the official translation

A official picture of Kurulucifer with her English name has been released with volume 5 illustrations. Her name will now be changed to “Krulcifer” and edits will be made in a couple of days to all translated volumes in this blog and on BAKA TSUKI.

Can I get a phonetic pronunciation for that please cause I can’t figure it out without sounding like KRUL-SI-FUR

  2. I do hope u translate vol 3 soon….

  3. “Krulcifer” seems harder to say. I think I’ll stick with “Kurulucifer” when reading.

    • happinezz001 says:

kinda agree on you as well but it isn’t that much of a hassle for me i guess

P.S the illustration is very nice is it from vol 5?

      • DigitalAK27 says:

It is, there is even a Lisha version of it as well. Also I personally think that the name is an improvement, Krul-cifer sounds much more appealing than Kurulu-cifer.

      • Yeah, it ain’t much of a problem to read it as “Krulcifer” but sometimes the consonant clusters kinda make me read it twice. Doesn’t make much of a difference since I get the point of the sentence anyway.

  4. Mikss says:

Setsuna or Dual will you post novel illustations for vol 5 on Baka- Tsuki? If so when?
Thank you for your hard work everyone.
    Best regards.
    Mikss

I preferred Kurulucifer, easier to pronounce. Definitely my favorite girl 🙂

  6. fireutsie says:

I actually prefer Kurulucifer above Krulcifer which sounds a bit underwhelming…

  7. None says:

Who even cares for a name change ? Krulcifer is still THE BEST GIRL EVER !

  8. Ace says:

Awesome! I think I’ll say it “Kurulucifer” instead… Kinda easier to pronounce. Can’t wait for volume 3. Keep up the good work! 😀

  9. EzCo says:

Like the name change, sounds cleaner imo. The names of characters are mostly Western type names, and this sounds more natural than Kurulucifer

  10. Zeke says:

eager to read volume 3 of saijaku muhai no bahamut

  11. Digital, can u post the other pictures as well ? Like the one u posted for Krulcifer.

  12. Gundam says:

    Kurulucifer sounds sexier, imo

  13. thatoneguy says:

not going to lie in my opinion Kurulucifer sounds and looks much beter

  14. forgetfulelk says:

oh gawd can’t wait for this >_< Thanks for all the good translating work here!!

  15. BC says:

I’m split on the change to Krulcifer, but the family name apparently being spelled Einfolk instead of Einvolk seems a little odd. Volk just feels like it fits in better with the Norse mythology origin of Ymir than folk which gives of a modern English feel (though this may be due to my American language bias.)

Please reconsider! Is it possible for you to translate Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut Vol. 3 before Gakusen Toshi Asterisk Vol. 7?

    • Nishaven says:

Yeah I would be happy too if you can translate Saijaku before Gakusen. But it is up to you Setsuna.

    • lifeman120 says:

i would actually prefer Gakusen for now :P, everyone has his own opinions =D

      • Hayato says:

i too prefer Gakusen. And since he already translated the v6, i think it’s better he translate v7. (or else it’ll be like this : Gakusen v6 -> Saijaku v3 -> Gakusen v7 -> Saijaku v4, etc… and it’ll be like that only if there isn’t a volume of Madan) Don’t you think it’s better to translate all volumes of Gakusen and start Saijaku ?

      • happinezz001 says:

yeah it’s better that way because it’s less confusing

    • FunkyBacon says:

Although I’m more of a bigger fan of saijaki, I’d prefer gakusen to be translated and then v3-v5 of saijaku can be translated consecutively. Unless madan comes out, which takes priority.

Glad to hear. It means that you’re still willing to continue the sub. Thanks.

When Kurulucifer’s name first appeared, I actually thought that the actual (romanized) spelling was Crulucifer. Guess I was wrong 😛

Do you plan on working on the Madan no Ou to Vanadis prequel novel that was mentioned here http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=5380438&postcount=5846 ?
