Don’t really want to make another status post about project status and what not so just a reminder. Cause eventually new posts will cover it up and ppl will forget and keep asking. Just type in translation in the search box and a post about the order of what projects will be work on will come up.

  1. KozuKy says:

After Saijaku vol 5 will be Gakusen vol 8 ? or still undecided ?

  2. God Ginrai says:

I realize that setsuna86 said that Madan will not be the priority after volume 12 is completed, but with volume 13 looking to come out before translation for volume 12 is completed, is volume 13 really going to take the backburner to Bahamut?

    • Chingaruna517 says:

Well, he did that statement from the earlier post no? Regardless, the Vanadis Wikia will hope to get the full story coverage from him before either the beginning of Arc Four/ Arc Five (depending on the author’s story) or the end of Arc Three (not sure how many because Arc Two consists only four story arcs). The reason? Well, the current volume (Volume 13) is Arc Three third arc.

      • God Ginrai says:

Yes, he did. But if you look further back, the plan was initially to work on whatever inbetween the end of 12 and when 13 came out, and then drop everything to start back up on 13. I was hoping that priorities might have changed to favor Madan again.

  3. Khader says:

Please Translate Volume 8 of Asterisk !!!

  4. Raze1313 says:

The impression I got was that Madan will always be 1st priority, but Bahamut will now take 2nd priority over Asterisk (at least until Bahamut’s caught up).

    • dano732 says:

As of now, these things are currently open:
      – Madan Volume 12
      – Madan Volume 13 (Slated to be released on the 24th of November)

      – Saijaku Bahamut Volume 3
      – Saijaku Bahamut Volume 4
      – Saijaku Bahamut Volume 5
      – Saijaku Bahamut Volume 6
      – Saijaku Bahamut Volume 7

      And as regard for Asterisk
      – Gakusen Toshi Asterisk Volume 8
      – Gakusen Toshi Asterisk Volume 9

      • dualxblades says:

I doubt we’ll get 5 vols of Saijaku done at most 2-3 is my best guess then its off to Madan Vol 14 or Gakusen.

      • Chingaruna517 says:

Good to know, eh.I know it is a dumb question for me to ask but, are you sure you folks manage to catch up after all this? ’cause like I said from one certain post, by the time Setsuna finishes some of the project, the arc itself will be almost reaching the near end of Arc Three, meaning that we might possibly entering Arc Four (as far as it goes….)

      • dualxblades says:

That why we got winter break bae

      • Chingaruna517 says:

Yeah, and about that the Wikia also reminds you that the thrd arc of Arc Three is officially named as Greast Arc due to the former Marquis’s involvement of that. And just a heads up, the book is already released since yesterday.

  5. CaRL says:

what happened to shirou koukou monogatari??

    • dualxblades says:

Dunno Setsuna’s friend is doing it iirc Setsuna will gives us updates on the project when it reaches a suitable amount of progress?

  6. Diego says:

    Gakusen Toshi Asterisk please!

  7. Yosef says:

    Gakusen pleaseeeeee!!

  8. Noshow21 says:

What’s the status on editing for chapters 3 and 4. I don’t mean to sound rude but I’m just desperate. Any update would be nice!

  9. Seraphin says:

    Hey dual..
Did you start editing the translated chapters or waiting for the entire thing to be translated?

  10. kenjirou2684669 says:

    Still waiting for bahamumt. :3

  11. Seraphin fiammetta says:

Saw the illustrations of madan new volume and setsunaaaaaaaa! You have to translate It before anything! Pleaseeeeeee!

  12. xxmadan lovexx says:

    madan vol 13

EDIT from Dual: plz use spoiler tags I have deleted the spoiler from your post.

  13. ATREA says:

One question after they finish translating Madam Chapter 5, 3 chapters published at the same time?

  14. Best Girl Never Wins says:

I might’ve been one of the guys who want Madan over any of the other LNs…if it was written better. The war aspects are very nice, but t’s hard to care when every other scene is just Tigre bonding with the blandest love interest. He needs to interact with men more, every single male acquaintance he had had far more chemistry than all the girls combined.

Also, come on. Madan’s had top priority for so long Saijaku is lacking -three- volumes. Even if Madan had been a perfect light novel–and it’s not–anyone with the slightest bit of consideration would rule it fair to get -at least- Saijaku Volume 3 out. I’m pretty sure you can fill out a fucking wiki anytime, but translations happen once every few months.

    • Chingaruna517 says:

Isn’t he already? Such as the rivalry with Ganelon and, more recently, Tallard because of their both conflicted personality? You also ought to know that the 13th Volume/Greast Arc (Arc Three third Arc) has already released since past two days ago, no?

We are already reaching Arc Three’s Greast Arc already buddy, and if the delay are prolonged any further, the series would have reach at least pre/ mid-Arc Four, or even post Arc Five. About the wikia, we aren’t just filling the wikia just for fun and we want a more accurate information. Speaking of wikia, you’re not by any chances to stop by, are you?

      • Griggs says:

I really don’t understand why some sort of random Wikia editor is trying to imply he has some sort of preferred right to nag the translators and editors to death for the release of the chapters. Both Setsuna and Dualblades really are doing a enormously good job by – voluntarily nonetheless – translating three different kinds of light novels, in the midst of their in real life priorities.

No one cares about that Wikia anyhow. I’ve seen you complaining on other places as well (Facebook for instance). Wait like everyone else and show some respect!

      • Chingaruna517 says:

Right, just let ya know that “random” Wikia editor is apparently a Admin of that very Wikia. I’m apologizes for pressuring too much translator to pick up the pace, but some of us have already anticipating the story even faster than the translator themselves (note that the only reason we haven’t ready for Greast Arc is because we haven’t get the book yet). Not meant to disrespecting the hard-working staff, but we have our own pace when we do things, even facing real life priorities.

      • Chingaruna517 says:

Not to mentioned that I did asked Setsuna himself from some post earlier that should the wikia move on the plot without his translation, in which he himself permitted. We would ought to wait for a while longer.

Edit: As a matter of fact, the Vanadis wikia do respect translators’ hard-work and once again we apologizes for giving pressure. We just thing that done in the half-way, cause that is even more disrespectful. By the way, where did you see my complains on other sites? Show me the source and stop making false assumptions!

      • Best Girl Never Wins says:

I respect your dedication to your wikia. That’s not a common trait. But if you’re worried about Madan not catching up, again, I say look at Saijaku. Madan is objectively better written, sure, but the moment Setsuna chose to take on three light novels, he’s making a commitment. You’re worried about the next volume of Madan coming out before this one’s finished, a lot of people are worried that four, potentially five volumes will come out while we’re stuck at the second volume. Not to mention that Madan’s chapter length varies from volume to volume, so Setsuna has an objectively superior chance of catching up with Madan than he does with Saijaku,

And though I’ve been holding this question back out of politeness, I’ll ask now: what’s the rush? You want all the information accurate, I understand that much, but what does that have to do with asking for faster translations? Information is information, whether it be translated today or a month from now. There is no difference. The only difference is your patience. If the guys at your wikia are making up nonsense out of boredom, just ban them. But, as you said yourself, they’re not writing it up for fun, are they? Then there’s little risk of such a thing happening.

Fuck. I can’t believe I just wrote a two-paragraph argument over a fucking light novel. This is the low point of my life. Tell you what, I’m taking a History course and am learning 19th century Russia, I’ll drop by your wiki and see if my miscellaneous knowledge can provide anything. I’m pretty sure Madan takes place in a thinly-veiled superimposition of Russia.

      • Chingaruna517 says:

Not that I am want to complain, but we all know that if we includes next arc (Greast Arc), it covers Arc Three’s part one (Combination of Homecoming Arc, Melisande’s Uprising Arc and its climax arc, Greast Arc.), and we not even sure the exact numbers of story arcs in Arc Three (Arc One have five, which focuses on Brune Civil War and Arc Two has four, with each mini-sagas (Asvarre Civil War and Tigre’s Amnesia respectively) consists two sub-arcs). That is why I am estimating by the time Setsuna resume the Vanadis series, there story will be either in Pre-Arc Four to Mid- Arc Five, or Post- Arc Three to Pre-Arc Five (I don’t even want to know which Arc is the Final Arc).

Nevertheless, I guess I have to wait a bit longer since keep pushing would only infuriates them. But it better be worth waiting, again. Because Valkyrious and myself are the wikia’s only admins, others are just come and go or vandalizes without heeding the wikia rule I personally placed. About those who doesn’t care? The only reason people didn’t fell to care in creating the wikia is either some people sucks at History lessons or just being too lazy yo hit the books, y’know that ones with the European history? If you have some knowledge of history, do come by give info in the wikia…..

  15. Would you update the images of madan no ou to vanadis vol. 13?

  16. niknasr says:

I’m one of a few who want you do Bahamut just because it’s been so long.. I’m glad and thankful that after madan 12 you will translate Bahamut.. But after, reading new volume spoilers of Madan and Asterisk, my curiosity to read it take a peak, especially when both have a romance progression going on in it, especially Madan that took a huge leap in that new volume.. So, I once again want to sincerely thank you for still wanting to translate Bahamut, because at this rate my desire to read Bahamut will be gone and lose it out to Asterisk and Madan.. 🙂

  17. () says:

So is Madan vol 13 going to be translated after Bahamut or Asterisk?

  18. Valt says:

FInally Bahamut, i guess we’ve been waiting for like 6 months! Thanks a lot

  19. Joe says:

Just want to say I appreciate the your work Setsuna and Dual. I am psyched for Madan 13.

    • Chingaruna517 says:

C’mon now, Don’t say things like this. We all highly anticipating Greast Arc anyways. All we need is to wait until they finishes Melisande’s Uprising Arc all the way, just don’t like people to do half way finish the stuff. Then again, when are you folks are going to do Greast Arc?

      • Chingaruna517 says:

Y’know what, never mind. I just wait until the Bahamut get what it deserve since the project is already underway, ranting does not change anything…..

      • Griggs says:

Ranting does not change anything. It makes you lose respect to a much of the audience on here as someone obnoxiously demanding stuff for something that isn’t even warranted for demanding the translation be done faster. So, Enough with calling it Arc X or Arc y, relax and you might as well enjoy to read some Saijuku. It’s a decent light novel and the anime is coming out next month! 😀

      • Elea Tepes says:

no. i believe in Setsuna’s hard work and don’t mind waiting. but now situation changed with licensing

      • Elea Tepes says:

no, never mind. i believe in Setsuna, his hard work and that he will finish his project. i over reacted on world “licensed” and didn’t noticed it was manga. but it’s scary now as anime and manga already got targeted

    • dualxblades says:

      More like sleeping

  20. Bran says:

Gakusen just got licensed by Yen Press.

    Another one bites the dust….

  21. Newhopes says:

BTW Gakusen has just been licensed.

  22. ftxnexus says:

As long as i get to read those 3 LNs. I will be satisfied, so dont go and quit half way through 😛

  23. haseo0408 says:

Hello Setsuna-san I´m having a little bit of a heart attack here because Gakusen Toshi Asterisk light novel has just been licensed so it´s out of BT so here is my question: Will you keep translating it in your site only? or are you going to drop the project entirely?.

Thank you for your timr and sorry for the bother.

  24. Reint says:

please continue gakusen in here please

    • Saito says:

It’s going to be hard. However, if the translator secretly upload it somewhere, probably there’s still hope. Otherwise, it’s gonna get purged…Honestly Yen Press shouldn’t pick up too much LN like that. I’m fine if it’s just LN that haven’t been translated…

      • dualxblades says:

The reason Yen Press and other Jap publishers don’t pick up non-tled material is because they don’t know how popular it’ll be outside Japan. Plus Gakusen has an anime now so all them anime ppl coming over here to read the ln.

  25. Aprilus I says:

    Oh well. Sayonara Gakusen. T_T

  26. otaku01llsif says:

    mate yenpress just licenced gakuen……..

  27. Aprilus I says:

At least, we can discuss future Gakusen extensive spoilers here, right?
